my approach to painting is loose and free. It’s about color and filling the blank space with movement. i start a painting using graphite, paint, or charcoal. At this point my goal is to fill the blank canvas or paper with intuitive marks. it’s about immediacy, And the urgency to make marks. Next, i react to the marks and one gesture leads to another. at times My paintinGs Come together quickly and everything falls into place. when that happens it’s magic and I can’t stop painting.
